SMART GOALS

I want to work as a Software Engineer or a Full Stack Developer at a company and challenge myself by taking part in the fast-growing industry of Software Development. I want to clear at least one interview and get an offer in the month of March 2022. This will surely help me get the professional experience that is needed for me to convert the coop into full-time. I will apply to as many companies as possible in a day that is relevant to my career goals and if I feel I have the skills that the company expects.

  1. Java Programming: I have been working on multiple Java projects and am comfortable with Java. I feel I am comfortable in the OOPS concepts in Java too.
  2. Web Development: I was a website building enthusiast for a long time. Building a full-stack website with a catchy front-end and fully functional back-end gives me immense pleasure. I believe a website is a platform for me to put in front my creativity and speak to the world.
  3. Problem-solving: I believe I am an optimistic problem solver. Optimism is really important in problem-solving as one should not tend to give up easily. I strongly believe I can dive deep into the intricacies of a problem and maintain optimism right till I reach the solution.

  1. Resilience: I had many situations in life after which I felt I possess a lot of resilience when put under immense pressure.
  2. Self-motivated: I am a driven student who is enthusiastic while learning new technologies. I have a cornucopia of motivation in my life as I feel without motivation even I cannot put a single line of code.
  3. Team-player: The communication skills along with the negotiation skills I possess make me believe that I am a good fit in any team. I proactively look for the welfare of the team.

1.) Apple: The day I experienced apple.com and its sophisticated UI, I wanted to experience building such a good experience for users. Hence, joining apple’s front-end team is the biggest thing in this world for me.

2.) Intuit: The work culture at Intuit is something very rare and supportive. Excellence is the only feedback about Intuit, all the alumni I have contacted have given. It would be an honor on my side if I get an opportunity to work with Intuit.

3.) Salesforce: The cloud era today only captivates me whenever I think about the best CRM Salesforce.

4.) Phillips: The tagline “Innovation and you” is apt for Philips. The pace with which Philips innovates is a great motivation to me.

5.) LinkedIn: Why wouldn’t I feel blessed when I get a job in a company that helps people gets jobs. LinkedIn’s service drives me to do something positive for society.

6.) Oracle: Whenever I open the documentation for Java I wonder how Oracle could maintain such a rigid Object-Oriented language.

7.) Berkshire Grey: Automation is the future. Berkshire Grey is a very fast-growing company in terms of automation.

1.) Set up myself to apply for coops (includes career prep course, self-motivation, and application materials prep). expected date of completion: 19th Jan 2022.

2.) Work on a personal project to add to my resume. expected date of completion: 30th Jan 2022.

3.) Complete Dynamic Programming problems as many as possible to an extent where I feel comfortable solving DP problems. expected date of completion: 30th Jan 2022.

4.) Learning basic Angular.js in order to explore the MEAN stack as well. expected date of completion: 5th Feb 2022.
